HISTORY
Located on the outskirts of mold, on the A541 (Mold-Denbigh Road), Pen y Garth Farm has been active since 1699. The farm, which includes dozens of fields spanning acres around the outskirts of Mold and Gwernaffield, has been in the hands of the Jones family for decades.
PRODUCE
Way back when, before Tik Tok was even a thing, Pen y Garth farm was well-known for its dairy production. Over the years, it has expanded and adapted to current market needs, and is now a working cattle and sheep farm.
ANIMALS
As expected on a working farm, Farm Fit Club is home to many animals, including cattle, sheep, birds and Ted the resident sheepdog – not to mention Robin before his morning coffee.
ROBIN’S VISION
Growing up in the hills of North Wales, Robin always appreciated the beauty of the Welsh landscape, the healing nature of fresh air, and the restorative and satisfying properties of working in the great outdoors.
ROBIN’S REALITY
Robin was determined to combine his love for farming and the Welsh countryside with his passion for sport and fitness, in a way that would bring people together and offer something unique to the community.
TODAY
In Spring 2023, the seeds had been planted and it wasn’t until he onboarded his two best friends that the idea became reality. From the soil Robin grew his own business, and Farm Fit Club is now a registered not-for-profit organisation, bringing energy, smiles, and health to the people of Flintshire, Wrexham, and Denbighshire.
